HAIR TRANSPLANTATION

Hair transplantation is accomplished by moving hairs from the sides and back of the scalp and relocating them to your balding areas where they will grow permanently. Your “permanent hair area” is located in a horseshoe pattern at the back of the scalp.

This hair is genetically programmed to grow even when exposed to hormones that cause thinning. Typically, hair on the top of your scalp is affected by hormones while hair on the sides and back of your scalp naturally resist thinning.

By using your own donor hair from these areas, you can be assured of a permanent solution for your hair loss. The amount of hair Dr. Gabel is able to transplant in a single session is determined by the overall quality, density, and elastic properties of your donor area.
